Christmas is a time for families to get together and show how much they love one another by spending the entire day in one another’s company. So it’s not surprising that this is one of the most stressful times of year. But there are few hints and tips you can use to avoid the day being too much of a nightmare.
Firstly, prepare as much of the food as you can the day before. Christmas recipes are time consuming and create a lot of mess, so having this stuff sorted out in advance will free up a big part of the day.
Secondly, while over indulging is of course a huge part of the day, try not to start drinking too early. Have a decent breakfast so you’re not on an empty stomach if you have an eggnog before the Christmas dinner is ready.
Thirdly, keep the telly on constantly. It will save you having to talk to one another too much.
