What Will Be the Only Integrated Effect Switching System You’ll Ever Need?

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

The DigiTech RP 1000 will be the only integrated effects switching system you’ll ever need. Yes, there are many guitar effect switching systems that are available in the market. The only thing is that they pale in comparison to the DigiTech’s guitar effects.

This guitar effect has all that a guitar player needs. It can help you make those very cool licks that may land you in magazine covers, if not in album covers. Every good guitar player needs at least one gadget that will help him wow his audience. This is the one gadget that you will need. All the other gadgets you can live without, but this one.is an essential.

Many times, I have been asked for advice by friends on what they can do to make their guitar playing sound a little better. I always say one thing – get a good effects equipment because it will make you sound a little better. There is, however, a warning that goes with this advice. A good device can never replace a good player. That is why it is always important to keep practicing. Practice alone can make a person an exceptional player. No device or gadget can ever replace hard work and innate talent.

There are many people out there who’d love to learn piano but can’t afford to pay for lessons. That’s why Rocket Piano software was developed, and it’s a complete guide that you can work through in three different stages. In the beginner stage, you learn everything about getting started on piano.

Then you can move on to the intermediate stage. This is where you move beyond the familiarity that you learned in stage one. Now you actually get to learn how to play your instrument like it should be played.

From there you move on to the third and final stage. This is now all about learning what you need to do to actually play your instrument like a real pro. After this you’ll, be a true piano player.

The system takes about a year to fully work. But you’ll find that these guides totally cut out all the useless fluff that most guides feature. Instead they focus on just the info you actually need to play piano.

That means you can count on Rocket Piano to get you playing, and to get you playing really fast. You’re going to notice a difference almost immediately, and that’s one of the coolest parts.

Don’t Let Bad Sleeping Cause Bad Singing

Saturday, August 27th, 2011

Use a Solidly Built DAW

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

You will need to find a solidly built DAW that can handle your creative beat making skills. A typical rap beats maker will come equipped with a huge sample library, a drum machine, keyboard and sequencer. All of these tools will prove vital to your ability to create amazing sounding beats that will catch other producer’s and rapper’s eye. Most big time rap producers have worked on hundreds of different beats and spent countless hours in the studio. You will have to craft your own sounds and thereby build a solid reputation for yourself with your original and cutting edge beats.

If your DAW comes with a ton of samples you will be able to easily jump right into making some beats. Each sample kit comes with ten different samples, and you can use your keyboard to tap out some of the notes, instead of penciling them in. Your sequencer will allow you to arrange and easily sequence your beat masterpieces.

The Legendary Jazz Guitar Music of Barney Kessel

Friday, July 1st, 2011

Barney Kessel showed that if a guitarist had the right technique, musical concepts and talent, he could fill the role of soloist and accompanist on an equal level to a pianist. From that time on the guitar had a freedom of performance and expression previously unknown in the world of jazz. Many of Barney Kessel’s guitar solos are still available in collection books of jazz guitar tablatures.

In 1953, Django Reinhardt died suddenly of a heart attack at his home in France. He was only 43 years old. Fortunately his music lives on through the availability of virtually every recording he ever made and he remains an inspiration to many guitarists of all styles. Many groups playing in the “Hot Club Of France” style have continued on both sides of the Atlantic to emulate the style of his original 1930s quintet. Then, in 1953 a new sound was added to the jazz guitar repertoire in the USA.

Guitar: the Instrument of Expression

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

There are some people, even including guitar master Eddie Van Halen, who believe in the piano as the ultimate instrument of expression. It is true that with a piano, you have ten fingers that can all play a different note, and you can put an incredible amount of emotion into your playing, but there is something magical about playing a guitar. The textures you can put onto each note, whether played with a pick, fingernails, or the bare fingers, are infinite. Vibrato is impossible on a piano, and even one well executed note on a guitar can make even the coldest hearts melt with their warmth.

Jimmy Page is a master of note texture. Just watch him play ”Since I’ve Been Loving You” on Led Zeppelin’s movie ”The Song Remains the Same” and you’ll understand. He plays sizzling blues riffs that climax on one note that he bends to a higher pitch, resolving in a long sustained vibrato that sends chills down the spine. The late Stevie Ray Vaughn was another master of texture. His song ”Texas Flood” begins with a riff that is both amazingly fast and sublimely flowing, as if the notes themselves flowed like the flood itself. He bent the notes up and down so smoothly, knowing exactly how long each note wanted to be held, and linking them with true liquidity, with a vibrato and sustain so pure that they place you in the midst of a true Texas flood.

No matter the instrument, the player must feel the music. The best guitarist is one who sees his instrument as an extension of not just his body, but his mind and soul as well. A musician who is actually experiencing his music will always, regardless of his skill, give his audience a personal connection to the music, and this intoxicating feeling is unlike any other.

Having a Private Karaoke Party

Wednesday, January 19th, 2011

I really didn’t know what to expect the first time I was invited to a party and told to bring a date to karaoke. I have to admit that I was a little bit nervous because I thought people would make me saying. My worst fear has always been for somebody to grab me and put me in front of the karaoke machine while I tried to stumble through a song. I don’t have much of a voice and I have even less of a desire to make a fool of myself in front of other people. So when I got invited to this party I reluctantly agreed to show up even though I was extremely apprehensive. When I finally arrived I discovered that it was a much different experience than what I had anticipated. The music was pumping and people were having a great time and there was absolutely no pressure to sing if I didn’t want to. In fact, there was such a line up to use the karaoke machine that I might not have even gotten a chance. Everybody was having a good time whether they were simply sitting on the couch and singing along or lounging in the back enjoying a few drinks. It was nice not having to deal with karaoke politics associated with being in a bar.

Since that day I became a huge karaoke fan even though I have never used a karaoke system myself. My favourite part about it is how everybody can come together behind music, and there is a certain corny appeal to hearing songs then we have long since forgotten. When an old classic comes on there is something magical that comes over people as they instantly connect with the tune. These days we have private karaoke parties in a local establishment. If you live in any modern city there is likely to be similar places that you can enjoy singing in private. They are set up similar to nightclubs where people mingle and dance together, but they also have an option to rent a private room where you and your friends can hang out. Either way you go, karaoke is an incredibly fun activity, and you should remember that this is coming from somebody who never thought they would enjoy it.

How to Enter Freestyle Rap Battles

The freestyle rap: people say that this is the purest form of lyricism out there. You can get into poetry, you can even get into D.H. Lawrence, but if you haven’t dealt or toed into this idea of the freestyle rap, then you haven’t even scratched the surface. There are the things that happen during a freestyle rap that really cut to the core of what it means to rap. You can catch a free style rap on the web, where some have posted videos about these things. There are places in your area, most likely, that host hip hop and rap battles, and you will likely find this to be the case with the various clubs that cater to this kind of crowd, in your area, as well as other areas.

A Violin Lesson a Day is Enough

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

Similar to the concept of eating one fruit a day to increase immunity in children, many music instructors believe that practicing once a day and getting through with one violin lesson each day would be enough input to be able to improve a student’s playing skills.

However, one single violin lesson might not be enough for people who have already acquired advanced skills in playing the violin. These students typically come from families with families members who have been exposed to some kind of music instrument. This comes with the fact that children who come from such families are more exposed to gatherings where people play music. They might even think that such activity is the norm.

Teenagers of today are also expressing their need and want to learn how to play the violin. Many educators think that this is due to the challenging nature of the lessons. People tend to pursue an activity much more if the activity is challenging.
